Lush Haul

Lush is a shop which I haven't got near me, so I either travel about an hour to get to a store, or do an online order. But I really don't like ordering from Lush, because of the delivery charges... please someone tell me if there is a limit to spend to get free delivery?! Cause I can't seem to find it, and they charged me last time. Anywhoo, stop rambling... I basically got some bits from Lush, enjoy my beauts!

The Comforter - Bubble Bar

I personally love this one, its pink and white and just reminds me of Ribenna. Whilst running the bath, just crumble some of this under the water and it creates amazing bubbles! (This one is amazing with the experimenter bath bomb).

Butterball - Bath Bomb

This one leaves your skin so soft, and is just amazing for an everyday bath. It also makes me so relaxed, not sure why but I love this one. I love all of them, but yano what I mean. It's also the typical Lush smell to me, if I think of Lush I basically smell Butterball. I did actually pick up two of this one, because I get through it so fast!

The Experimenter - Bath Bomb

This is the one which I love in combination with the comforter. Its got so many colours in, so in the bath... I will let you imagine, but all I can say is it's amazing. I don't particularly love the smell of this one, but I do love the colours.

Shoot for the stars - Bath Bomb

I got this one a while ago, and just haven't used it. But it looks so pretty, its got a shooting star going through it  and I just think it looks so magical. I'm not sure if this one is in the permanent range or not (sorry if its not).

Dreamtime - Bath Oil

This one is purple with a 'Z' on it, however mine has broken :(. This one makes my skin feel so soft and left my skin with a slight shimmer. Its got camomile inside, so it makes you very relaxed, you will have a deep sleep with this one!

Intergalactic - Bath Bomb

One of my absolute favourites, it looks amazing, smells amazing and I just love this one. I would recommend this one over any of the ones I have spoken about. I do love them all, but this is my favourite. When its dropped into the bath, the colours that come out are amazing.

Snow Fairy - Shower Gel

I got this one a while ago, because its part of the Christmas collection, so sorry for teasing you. But its just a must from lush, if you love sweet smells then you will fall in love with this. I do think the shower gels over all though are quite expensive, but they are gorgeous.

Herbalism Face & Body Wash

I love this stuff, it looks so scary when you open it because its a dark green and you do look like the Hulk when you apply it. But it does wonders to your skin, its great if you suffer with blemishes and you need a deep clean into your pores.

As you can see, I spent quite a lot and got quite a few things! But I do love Lush as a brand, and I do think there products are amazing. It's safe to say I have my baths covered for a while...

Gingerbread Muffins

****Be warned, eat something before reading this!****
Baking is my hobby, it relaxes me and you get something yummy out of it in the end. I have been exploring some more interesting recipes than just plain cup cakes. So I found some inspiration online, and had ago at these amazing gingerbread muffins! They are so yummy, and quite easy to make really... So I had to share them with you!

Ingredients

125g Softened Butter (I use Stork)
1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon of Vanilla Extract
2 Eggs
1 Tablespoon of Ground Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon of Ginger
Pinch Of Salt
1/4 Cup of Milk (Semi Skimmed)
1 Cup of Self Raising Flour

Method

- Preheat Oven to 200 degreees and line 6 hole muffin cases in a large muffin tin with some paper cases. I used cute muffin cases that I found in B&M for like £1 for a pack.

- Place butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract and salt in a large bowl. Beat them until light and fluffy, should go a light brown colour.

- Add eggs, ginger and cinnamon (I wasn't too careful with the spices, but go on what you like. I quite like a strong flavour, so I added quite a bit). Then beat for about a minute.

- Then add your flour and milk and beat until all the ingredients are combined and it looks like a lovely mixture. I found it looked like my mixture didn't need milk when I did my muffins, however I added a little bit of milk in at a time and it turned out that the milk helped a lot.

- Spoon the mixture into the cases, make sure they are about 2/3 rd's full. Sprinkle some extra cinnamon and ginger on top, if you would like. (I did - haha)

- Bake in the Oven for 15 minutes until they are cooked through, risen and golden brown. Remove them from the oven and cool in cases on a wire rack.

I honestly am so impressed by the way these muffins came out, I really really am!! I hope you try this recipe out. Also, my family are impressed too. YUMMY!

February Favourites

I just need to take a moment, one moment, because we are in MARCH?! MARCH.

I will give you chance to shut your mouth... however, February has been an ok month, not much to report on really. I've just been working my but off, to try and get myself back financially from the Christmas splurge. I do have some very exciting news, which is that I am treating myself to a brand new car, which is arriving on March 1st and I am so so so excited ekjnsjhbkjz :):).

Anyway, to the favourites, there are a few products this month which I have discovered and a few products from the big shop I did from Boots last month. In these blog posts I will just be doing beauty favourites, so no random favourites really, unless you really wanna know the personal random stuff.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Base

I have been loving the dewy/glowy look recently, because my skin has got drier over winter, I just love having a  dewy base. This primer comes out a white shade and blends in beautifully. I apply it just under the eyes, forehead, cheeks and chin (pretty much everywhere) I really adds to the gorgeous glowy skin. Also, I don't really know of a product from the drugstore that is an illuminating base, most of them seem to be matte or just pore erasers.

Maybelline Baby Lips Balm & Blush (innocent peach 01)

This is a great product, if you are lazy and like multi-use products. For me, I am lazy but I am yet to try it as a blush. But it is great as a balm for the lips. I apply it with my skincare so that my lips are all nourished and ready for the lipstick application.

Garnier Ultimate Blends 1 minute treatment

This is apparently new (it says on the bottle) but I know the ultimate blends has been out for a few months now, I have tried the red tubs of shampoo and conditioner, and if I'm honest I wasn't completely blow away, it was just a normal conditioner. So I got this treatment because it was from a different range. It is for damaged to dry hair, and just nourishes the hair. I only apply this on the ends of the hair, every time I wash it, which is every other day or every 3 days. I wouldn't recommend using this every day if you do wash your hair every day. But it smells gorgeous too, its got avocado and shea butter in.

Lush Herbalism Face & Body Cleanser

I used to have this product when I was about 15, because I got recommended it from a lady in Lush, I used to have really oily and spotty skin. I remember this helped a lot. So I was browsing Lush and I picked it up again, all those years later. I wouldn't say I've got particularly spotty skin now, but I just like the fact it feels like its doing good when I apply it to my face. I would say I use it once a week and a heads up it does make the skin go green and messy. All I do to apply the product is get about a 2 pence worth amount in my hand and apply a dash of warm water, then mix it together in my hand so it turns into a liquid and apply on my face. Wash off with warm water again. You do look a bit like the hulk, but its totally worth it.

Blanx White shock toothpaste

I know I said no random favourites, but to me this had to go in. Also, its not really random its just a tiny bit random. But this toothpaste is honestly amazing, it really does whiten your teeth. I saw results from the first time I used it and so did other people. You just use it as a normal toothpaste (well I did). It's about £5-00 too, so it's not overly expensive. So if you are looking for a new whitening tooth paste, give this one a go.

Theres my favourites for the month of February, hope you had a lovely month... and bring on the sunny weather (please) !!
