MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I hope you have a fabulous day, and enjoy yourself whatever your Christmas day traditions are. I am currently writing this in advance, so I am probably currently either stuffing myself with turkey or waiting to watch all of the *crappy* Christmas TV, aka; my guilty pleasure, Eastenders. But whatever you are doing, I really do hope the day is as magical as you hoped.

I love Christmas time because it's the one time of the year, where people stop (most) from working and they have some family time. Most people, me included, just don't have enough time with their families now, because theres just always something to do, or something to watch and catch up on. Its quite sad really, but Christmas day for me, is just all about family and enjoying yourselves.

So I'm going to leave you now to enjoy your Christmas day! I really do hope you all have the most incredible day, and get everything you want and have a lovely family day.

Also, I hope you have enjoyed my little 'blogmas' series. It was a lot of fun to do, and I did really enjoy it. Normal posts will actually continue on the Monday 2nd of January. Not tomorrow, I am sorry, I just wanted a little break over the Christmas period! Hope you understand, so see you in the new year! Thank you for all the love and support this year...

BLOGMAS DAY 3: Top 5 Games to play around Christmas....

So in my family we have a tradition that after we've stuffed our faces with turkey, pigs in blankets, roasters and all the other good things! We then crack out the games, so I'm basically going to share with you my faves... how exciting!! I am essentially going to explain how to play each one, leave places of where you can get the games, and then tell you the prices! So we can all have fun and games...

#1 Scattorgies
I would say this is my most favourite game (most favourite?!) But, it really is. I love playing this with my family. What you do is pick a card which has topics like 'place, clothing, singer, actor, etc... and then roll a dice which has letters on. So you have a letter, you then have to an egg timer which is a minute. You then have to complete 10 of your topics which are on your card, and write down something for each one, beginning with that letter! So get your thinking caps on...

#2 Cards
This is probably a Christmas tradition that goes on each year, because my Grandad has always grown up with cards, and we always seem to get them out, because its simple. We play games from snap to whist.

#3 Taboo
For Taboo, you are in teams. One person in your team has to explain something like 'tree' but they aren't allowed to say the three words thats on their card, so for example they wouldn't be able to say 'green' 'tall' and 'leaves' and the team have to guess what they are going on about.

#4 Monopoly
Now, only play this one if you have a spare few hours. This game is always great around Christmas though. Its quite hard to explain actually, but the aim of the game is to go around the board with your cute character (I'm always the dog) and buy places, put hotels and apartments on your places you've bought. When someone lands on your place, they owe you money. You just go with the board game really, so it is quite self explanatory, but it does take a while. The aim though, is not to run out of money, and not end up in jail...

#5 Pictionary
I'm pretty sure everyones heard of pictionary, but for those who haven't its crazy simple, someone has to draw something, and then the others have to guess what it is they have drawn. Then they get to have a go. But if you are anything like me, it's a hard game, when you can barely draw a stick man!

Are you excited for Christmas yet?

BLOGMAS DAY 2: Christmas Q&A

What time do you wake up on Christmas day?

It's the one day of the year when I am an early bird. Around 6am!

Do you like brussel sprouts?

Most defiantly not, I cannot even stand the smell of them, EW

Favourite part of your Christmas lunch?

Pigs in blankets, roasters, turkey & stuffing.. YUM YUM

What do you wear on Christmas day?

Well it can go one of two ways. Either I love to wear just cosy clothes, so xmas Pjs.. OR I dress real fancy, a nice little skirt or dress and really make an effort. You will have to see what I do this year...

How many people are round your dinner table for lunch?

When I was younger it was just my mum, dad and me. However, over the years its got more and more, which I love! So this year theres 7 of us in total.

Whats on your Christmas list this year?

I used to find it so easy when I was younger to write a Christmas list. But as I've gotten older, I find it a lot harder. However, I would love a cosy new Barbour jacket.

Favourite Christmas film?

When someone says Christmas film to me, I just remember being younger and watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, which is a very old film but I love it. Otherwise it would be Elf, like every other person on the planet.

Do you wear makeup on Christmas day?

Yes, but not too much, as I don't want to waste time getting ready when I could be doing Christmassy things! Well unless I got makeup for Christmas, then I just want to try it all on..

What TV programme do you most look forward to on the special day?

This may be extremely sad, but even when I was younger I just love the Eastenders Christmas Day episodes. I love Eastenders guys, haha.

Favourite Christmas song?

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU, YOOOOU BABAAAAY

5 Bases: I Always Go Back To

For me, foundation is the most important part of my makeup. Its the part that I feel like if I get it right, then the rest of my makeup follows. So I'm going to talk you through 5 foundation bases which are my absolute favourites!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid

Lets start with probably my most all time favourite. If I had to choose one foundation forever, it would be this one. This foundation just makes my skin look amazing, and flawless. I do have three bottles of this stuff, because I'm just too scared to run out. I did actually loose this foundation a couple of months back, and thats when I actually realised I couldn't live without it. So I purchased another one, then found the one I lost. The shade I use is NC15, however, I do have another shade which is more pink toned, so really not my shade, but I do sometimes use it, and mix it in with another foundation. But NC15 is just the best shade match for me. I could ramble on about this foundation forever, but its a full coverage and a matte finish. It's incredible.

Estee Lauder Daywear BB cream

This is the lightest coverage foundation/BB cream in this post. But its amazing, I just it more in the summer months, however I do use it in the colder months too but just if I want more of a natural look, and I'm not really doing much, I reach for this one. Sometimes I do mix it with another foundation, which is coming soon...

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua

This is the foundation that I mix in with the BB cream, together they just make the perfect shade and give a lovely dewy natural finish. Vitalumiere Aqua, just makes your skin look perfect but it doesn't have a lot of coverage, its a light to medium I would say. It's amazing packaging to travel with. Its expensive, but its Chanel at the end of the day, and it really is incredible.

No7 Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation

No7 is a brand that makes foundation easy, they  have a machine which matches your skin tone to the right shade. I am the shade calico, which is a perfect shade for me when I have no fake tan on. I use this foundation more in the summer months, because it is a lighter coverage. But its really light on the skin, and is a very natural finish.

No7 Stay Perfect Superlight and Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, are very simular in packaging and in formula. I would say for me, the Chanel is more pigmented, so you don't need as much of it. But I didn't really notice until I was taking these pictures, how similar they actually are! Obviously the No7 foundation is a fraction of the price, so I would say try that one first, see if you like it, then you could try the Chanel one.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hours

Okay, so I think its fair to say I love my highend foundations, but I couldn't leave this one out. I would say this is just my go to drugstore foundation. Rimmel foundations on a whole are very good (apart from my recent review) *sad face*. This is a very full coverage, but its not matte, its more of a satin finish. Its really easy to blend, the colour match isn't too bad, however, it is extremely hard to match yourself in the drugstore. It's a very nice foundation, and excellent for the money.

My Favourite Face Masks

Since I was a wee little child, I have been loving face masks. It was probably the first thing I did when I was younger, and I thought ooo I'm cool, I'm growing up. I always remember going to town with my friends on a Saturday, then on the Saturday night, putting our sachet face mask when having our little sleepover, haha. Memories.

Also, I thought this was very this time of year appropriate, because at the end of the day, at Christmas we all eat a little bit too much, (well I do anyway) and it really does show in our skin. Mine always seems to have a mini spot pop up, after I've eaten really bad, or eaten too much, or just not been drinking enough water and far too many vodkas!

Una Brennan Super Facialist Salicylic Acid Anti Blemish Pore Purifying Clay Mask - I use this mask when my skin is very spotty and having a massive breakout. I leave it on for 5 minutes and then wash it off. My skin just feels a lot cleaner and the clay brings out all of the impurities.

The Body Shop Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask - This smells insane! I've only used it once or twice, but I love it. This is just a very luxurious mask and very hydrating.

Neutrogena 2 in 1 Wash and Mask - This is probably the most affordable mask and one that I have been using since I was a teenager. Its great because you can use it as an everyday face wash or a face mask. I personally use it only as a face mask because I have other cleansers. But its brilliant for really sorting out your skin if you have any breakouts.

L'Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask - There are 3 masks in this 'pure clay' range. However I have only used the glow mask, which is very exfoliating therefore reveals very glowy skin. It does look extremely scary when its on, because you are a very red/brown colour, strange.

The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3 in 1 Scrub Mask - This is defiantly my favourite mask out of all of them, even though I do love the others. I do think The Body Shop have discontinued this one though, because I haven't seen it in the shop for a while. Although, the 'The Body Shop Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask' is very similar because it has honey in, so they may of replaced it with this. However, the reason I love this mask so much, is because it really exfoliates my skin, and just smells incredible.

They also have their new Christmas range, and oh my it's amazing, but really, would you expect anything less?

November Favourites 2016

November has been a bit of a rubbish month really.. I've either been really stressed and busy or ill. I've had a norovirus, which was terrible and the worst thing ever. I caught it off my boyfriend, after looking after him for the night. Then we seemed to just pass it onto the whole family, wasn't good. Then I thought I was over that, I am... Just now, I have a terrible cold. I do love Winter, but I always seem to get ill around this time of year. I hate it, I just want to get on with my life. Haha, sorry for the rant!! So there isn't really any beauty/makeup in this favourites, just because I have been loving the same products, I haven't really ventured out. Although I have a few orders on the way from the black Friday sales. I'm sure I will be telling you about those soon!

Paw Paw Lip Balm
My lips always get so dry and horrible in the colder months. I hate not having nice smooth lips, because then I feel like I can't wear any matte lipsticks, and they are my faves. But this Paw Paw lip balm is amazing. It doesn't have to just go on your lips, it can be applied anywhere on any dry patches. It comes in a squeezy tube, so its easy to apply and basically just works.

Michael Kors WonderLust Fragrance
So this is a new fragrance from Michael Kors. I am a big fan of 'Sexy Amber' fragrance. Wonderlust didn't disappoint me, its very fresh and oriental to me. I don't think it suits this time of year too much, but it is just gorgeous. Would be an ideal Christmas present for anyone who loves Michael Kors and wants to buy into the brand. It's got notes of pink pepper, almond milk, jasmine and then theres something a bit more spicy and warm like sandalwood. I'm not the best at describing fragrances, but this is very lovely and is deffo worth a sniff!

Clinique Turnaround Day cream - Rosy Glow
This is the range from Clinique that I have been using for well over a year now, I love it. It makes me skin feel new and radiant. I do have normal/combination skin, it does just work for me. I am putting the day cream in my favourites, because I recently finished my tube, so I repurchased another. I thought, I don't really rave about the day and night cream I use very often, so I took this opportunity to give it a big old rave. Its a revitalising moisturiser, so it is meant to make the skin look fresh, radiant and much more glowing and that is why I love it so much, because it does do all those things. I can tell from my skin, when I have changed to a different moisturiser, because it just never looks and feels as good as when I use these. The moisturiser is also meant to create and reveal new skin cells, thats why its the 'turnaround' range. I have used up so many of these, its scary but I do always go back to it.

Soap and Glory Hand Food
A bit like the Paw Paw lip balm, my hands just get so dry this time of year. With the hand food, I have had one in my bag and one by my bed and I have actually used a whole tube up this month. My hands and lips are always the first things to suffer in the winter and Soap and Glory just know how to treat my poorly hands.

L'Oreal Shampoo and Conditioner
I really needed some new shampoo this month, I just ran out completely.. which really is so unlike me. I do normally use L'Oreal Shampoo & conditioner, I was using the newest one, which is the 'air' something, its to make your hair thicker. But I didn't really like that one as much as the others, but oh my goodness.. I think I've found my new favourite. Its the restoring one, to make your hair thicker, fuller and stronger. Its got 5 benefits and has just made a world of difference to my hair.
