March Favourites

March has been the best month so far, the first 2 weeks was probably the best 2 weeks of my life. I got myself a new car, picked it up on the 1st of March, (Volkswagen Polo) and I am in love with it. Then I got myself a new job, so now I am a fragrance consultant and I start at the start of April, I cannot wait! I have been very happy and things have been going into place in my life, I have also discovered some new products this month, and I have been reaching a lot for a very beautiful eyeshadow palette which I got for Christmas, so lets hope April is as good as March

Lancome Visionnaire Serum

Oh my, I cannot describe to you how amazing this stuff is, it really is heaven in a bottle. Very expensive, but so worth it. It retails for 30ml £60, but I always believe spending a bit more on skincare is worth it. I asked for a sample from the Lancome counter, I had a sample of the serum, day cream and then the night cream. I love all of them, and gradually will probably purchase them all. But I thought what do I really need in my skincare routine, and the answer was a serum. Before this I was either using the No7 minimising pore serum or the Estee Lauder Clear difference serum. Both of those I loved, but the No7 one had ran out and my Estee Lauder one was getting too used to my skin so I felt like it wasn't working as well. I probably will still use that one when I have a breakout and my skin gets a little bit spotty :(. But the Lancome one, is really good for minimising pores, reducing fine lines and creates a better skin texture, it just agrees with my skin and I highly recommend it.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (combination and sensitive skin)

I picked this up on a little bit of a whim because I normally get the pink version of this one, but there wasn't any left, so I went with this green one. However, I think I prefer it, it just mattifies the skin and really does get rid of all my makeup. I either use this for just my eye makeup or as a first cleanse.

Soap & Glory Smooch Operator

I got this a while back, when I did an online order and when it arrived I was a bit disappointed because it says "smooch operator" on the lid, and I didn't really want a smooch operator that makes my lips bigger, I just wanted a balm. But this is honestly amazing, it tastes/smells amazing, its so thick and balmy, and I just love it, I apply it every morning when I'm doing my skincare, and then when I apply my lipstick my lips are just so soft.

Lancome Sourcils Gel and Zoeva Wing Liner Brush

Another Lancome product, oooo I just love that brand at the minute. This is basically an eyebrow gel, one like the ABH Dip Brow Pomade which I have never tried just purely because it's not that easy to get in the UK. I have the shade Taupe, and I basically get my Zoeva Wing Liner brush which is insane for brows, and so easy. I just apply the product, outline my brows and then fill them in with little strokes, if its too harsh then I just brush my brows through with a spooly brush. I used to fill my brows with the Soap & Glory Brow Archery, but it kept drying out on me in the end, and this method is just so much easier I think.

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

Leave the best until last, I got this palette for Christmas and its amazing, the eyeshadows are such a good quality, lovely colours and so wearable. In March, I have gone quite neutral on the eye, just using the shade 'bitter start' all over the lid, with a bit of  'sweeter end' in the inner corner and half way on the lid. My favourite shades of the palette are 'sweeter end' and 'freshly toasted' they are gorgeous.

Hope you've had an amazing March, we are now in Spring, the clocks have sprung forward and I am currently tucking into an Easter Egg! Much love, and happy Easter/Spring!

February Favourites

I just need to take a moment, one moment, because we are in MARCH?! MARCH.

I will give you chance to shut your mouth... however, February has been an ok month, not much to report on really. I've just been working my but off, to try and get myself back financially from the Christmas splurge. I do have some very exciting news, which is that I am treating myself to a brand new car, which is arriving on March 1st and I am so so so excited ekjnsjhbkjz :):).

Anyway, to the favourites, there are a few products this month which I have discovered and a few products from the big shop I did from Boots last month. In these blog posts I will just be doing beauty favourites, so no random favourites really, unless you really wanna know the personal random stuff.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Base

I have been loving the dewy/glowy look recently, because my skin has got drier over winter, I just love having a  dewy base. This primer comes out a white shade and blends in beautifully. I apply it just under the eyes, forehead, cheeks and chin (pretty much everywhere) I really adds to the gorgeous glowy skin. Also, I don't really know of a product from the drugstore that is an illuminating base, most of them seem to be matte or just pore erasers.

Maybelline Baby Lips Balm & Blush (innocent peach 01)

This is a great product, if you are lazy and like multi-use products. For me, I am lazy but I am yet to try it as a blush. But it is great as a balm for the lips. I apply it with my skincare so that my lips are all nourished and ready for the lipstick application.

Garnier Ultimate Blends 1 minute treatment

This is apparently new (it says on the bottle) but I know the ultimate blends has been out for a few months now, I have tried the red tubs of shampoo and conditioner, and if I'm honest I wasn't completely blow away, it was just a normal conditioner. So I got this treatment because it was from a different range. It is for damaged to dry hair, and just nourishes the hair. I only apply this on the ends of the hair, every time I wash it, which is every other day or every 3 days. I wouldn't recommend using this every day if you do wash your hair every day. But it smells gorgeous too, its got avocado and shea butter in.

Lush Herbalism Face & Body Cleanser

I used to have this product when I was about 15, because I got recommended it from a lady in Lush, I used to have really oily and spotty skin. I remember this helped a lot. So I was browsing Lush and I picked it up again, all those years later. I wouldn't say I've got particularly spotty skin now, but I just like the fact it feels like its doing good when I apply it to my face. I would say I use it once a week and a heads up it does make the skin go green and messy. All I do to apply the product is get about a 2 pence worth amount in my hand and apply a dash of warm water, then mix it together in my hand so it turns into a liquid and apply on my face. Wash off with warm water again. You do look a bit like the hulk, but its totally worth it.

Blanx White shock toothpaste

I know I said no random favourites, but to me this had to go in. Also, its not really random its just a tiny bit random. But this toothpaste is honestly amazing, it really does whiten your teeth. I saw results from the first time I used it and so did other people. You just use it as a normal toothpaste (well I did). It's about £5-00 too, so it's not overly expensive. So if you are looking for a new whitening tooth paste, give this one a go.

Theres my favourites for the month of February, hope you had a lovely month... and bring on the sunny weather (please) !!

Products I've Used Up #1

I am one of those people that doesn't like throwing anything away, and I've really gone over board this time, because I am actually keeping empty products that should really be in the bin! I thought it would be interesting to show you some of the empty products that I have used up in the last few months, and tell you my thoughts on if I liked the product and if I would repurchase it.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstruction (deep conditioner)
I have had this before and I love it so much! If your hair is damaged, you use a lot of heat on it or even if you want it to have a little pick me up, then this is great. It's basically a conditioner which you apply to wet hair for 3 minutes, you can leave it on for less if you like. But it's super easy, it smells amazing and I would 100% buy it again.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (sensitive skin)

This Product is heaven for a lazy gal, it's basically a makeup remover which is so gentle to the skin. I use it as my first cleanse, so I use it to take the majority of my makeup off before I used my Estee Lauder Perfectly clean cleanser. This is the larger bottle which is 400ml, and it lasts for ages! I already have got another one of these, so would defiantly repurchase.

Boujous Volume 1 Seconde Mascara
Before this mascara, I had never tried a mascara from Boujous. I love their foundations especially the healthy mix serum, that is gorgeous. However, this mascara didn't really 'wow me' the brush is a plastic brush, that is quite big really. I found it did give volume, but nothing amazing. I don't really understand the '1 second' thing either, I just wouldn't really recommend this product and I wouldn't buy it again. A mascara which I love is the Maybelline Lash Sensational.

The Body Shop Indian Night Jasmine Shower Gel
Oh my goodness this smells incredible, its my favourite scent from The Body Shop. It's a very warm, kind of woody scent. I own the fragrance mist also so to build the scent up I used the shower gel along with the mist. I just love this scent so much, go go go and smell it!

Rimmel London Exaggerate Lip Liner - Eastend Snob 063
I actually have used up three of these lip liners, so I'm sure that tells you I love this colour, the formula and they are affordable too. Just perfect, its the most amazing pinky nude shade. I mostly use this lip liner all over my lips with a bit of lip balm, it looks lovely and I'm obsessed. It's an automatic lip liner, so no need to sharpen, which I love because it's so much easier. Of course I would repurchase this liner, its incredible and I can't not have one in my makeup bag!

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post, and seeing what I have been using up! Let me know of some products you have been using up.

Drugstore/highstreet beauty Haul

It all went wrong, I went into Boots and I just kept putting items into my shopping basket and came away with a lot less money in my bank account. Oh well, at least its created a blog post for ya, eh.. haha.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - 1 light.

I have loved this concealer for a very long time, it has a very high coverage. I use this on any blemishes and redness that I may have. I would say to stay away from putting it under your eyes because it sometimes does get cakey under the eyes.
RRP: £4.19

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Mono Blush - Santa Rose

I picked this up because I just thought it was such a nice peach colour. My favourite blusher is Benefit's Coralista and it just reminded me of that for a fraction of the price.
RRP: £3.99

Rimmel blush (left) L'Oreal Eyeshadow (right)

Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara [waterproof] black

I'm not one for waterproof mascaras, just because I've always thought they take ages to take off at the end of the day, aint nobody got time for that! You're probably thinking, I didn't mean to buy it then?! Say what... But yes, my eyes have been watering now, since I went to France really. I don't really know whats going on with them! Therefore I picked up a waterproof mascara to stop the mascara smudging all over my face. So far, so good.
RRP:£7.99

Soap and Glory Gloss Stick - Nudist

I have heard a lot of people chatting on about these little beauties. I believe they used to be twice the size and twice the price. I do really like the smaller size, its more travel friendly and just a lot cuter. I love the shade 'nudist' it's a very good natural colour, great for everyday wear and just a lovely option if you don't like venturing out for bright shades. Very creamy and glossy too, I love the formula, very hydrating.
RRP: £3.50

Eylure Eyelashes - 100 petite volume

Purely picked these up for one word and one word only... petite! I always find it hard when it comes to lashes, purely because of the size, they are always waaaaay too long for my eyes and I can never seem to cut them correctly and then they just don't look right and they then fall off. Never a good look. Hopefully these petite ones will just do the trick for me.
RRP: £5.29

Garnier Micellar water x2 - [sensitive skin]

I love the Garnier Micellar water, it's great if you want a quick refreshing wash over your face, using a cotton pad. Or it's great for removing makeup. I picked up 2 of the mini ones because they are super cute! I am using the big 400ml bottle atm, and honestly it's lasted me ages! The mini ones just worked out cheaper, hense buying those (haha).
RRP: £1.00 (each)

L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadow - 107 Macaron Vanille

I am yet to use this particular shade, however I have used one of these eyeshadows before (206 nude -  Little Beige Dress) and the shadow broke after like a day, I wasn't impressed at all. But I did think I would give these shadows another go. The shade I have now is a lovely matte shade, it's slightly orangey and I thought it would look nice in the crease.
RRP: £5.49

Maybelline 7 day wear nail varnish - 05

I'm always on the prawl to find a nail varnish that lasts longer than a day (haha) but yes, when I saw that this said 7 days, I thought I need it! The shade is also very autumnal, a very deep burgundy shade. I have just applied this for the first time, it only took 1 coat to get a good solid colour, so I am impressed with it at the minute. If my views change, you will be the first to know!
RRP: £4.49

Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paint - Dark Side of the Shroom
& Daylight during Topcoat

Without a doubt this is my favourite product I bought, I love the shade of this nail paint, its a beautiful muted lilac shade. The Topcoat is nice too, the idea behind this range (I am late on this bandwagon but please forgive me) is that you apply your nail paint and then you apply the topcoat. The daylight curing topcoat is the only topcoat that will work. The topcoat is meant to cure your nails in natural daylight, leaving long lasting nails. I really really like this combo, highly recommend. I would have to say there aren't too many colours in the range that I like though, there was a nice fuchsia pink and a cute little baby pink. Other than that not many of the colours stood out too me.
RRP: £4.99 (each)

Hope you enjoyed that beauty haul from the drugstore/highstreet. I do really love popping in and seeing what new affordable bits are about. Speak to you soon!
